What to expect at your bra fitting

So, you’ve booked your appointment and now you want to know what to expect….

When you arrive at Foundations, a bra fit expert will greet you and create your profile. Your profile enrolls you into a loyalty program and will keep track of your current and past sizes as well as your purchases or wish list. It makes things smooth for returning customers or shopping on our online store.

You will then be guided to the back to your personal dressing room where the fitter will ask you to remove your shirt, but leave your bra on. Once you are ready, they will take two initial measurements to determine what size bra they need to start with. Key word being start, everyone’s breast tissue is different and the numerical measurements just give us an idea of what you need. At this point the fitter may ask you a series of questions such as if you are nursing, if you have previously nursed, if you have had a reduction, if you have had an augmentation, and so on and so forth. These questions are asked to help assist the fitter to determine the best style bra for you based on your breast tissue.

The bra fit expert will then go grab a fit bra for you to put on and perform a series of fit checks. Once your size is determined, we will ask you if you are looking for a particular styled bra. We will do our best to accommodate your needs while also maintaining what is best for the girls.

At the end of your fitting, you fitter will address bra care and teach you how to care for the pieces that you have decided to take home.

That’s it! This process can be as quick as 15 minutes or last up to an hour, just depending if you come individually or with your group, and how many options you have.
